The Lower Farmington River/Salmon Brook Wild & Scenic Study committee invites you to any one of three Community Open Houses to be held this fall.
Census 2010 is almost here and the Governor’s office, in conjunction with the Department of Information Technology, has created a Census 2010 State Website to inform the public about what to expect next year. In summary, short, ten-question Census forms will be delivered to Connecticut households next year and should be returned to the US Census Bureau by Census day, April 1, 2010. An accurate Census count ensures that Connecticut receives adequate federal funding for its residents and its fair representation in Congress.

The earthen dam that creates the town swimming hole needs to be repaired.
Early in the fall of 2009 the gate was opened, allowing all the water to drain out.
All of the brush and trees on the back face needed to be removed, and then the slope will be reshaped so grass can be planted.
The 15” spillway pipe will be replaced and riprap will be added.
